The New Republic was the government formed from the Rebel Alliance that was made to replace the Empire after the Battle of the Death Star. The goal of the New Republic was to emulate the Old Republic and continue the customs before the rise of the Empire. The New Republic was formed to have a democratic type of government that would try all in its power to govern fairly and equally to all sentient races of the galaxy.
The New Republic is protected by both its massive military and the Jedi Order who work in harmony with the Republic to keep peace and prosperity continuing in the galaxy. The New Republic resides in Coruscant, which was taken from the Galactic Empire after the Battle of the Death Star. This was due to a large help from Commander Bawi's Commando Unit, Epsilon Squadron, and Vortex Squadron, the group of elite pilots led by Jon Rohaeus. The New Republic is led by a Supreme Chancellor and a large group of Senators who govern to the people's best interests.
