There is no Dark Side, nor a Light Side, There is Only the Force. I will do what I must to keep the balance, The balance is what keeps me together. There is no good without evil, but evil must not be allowed to flourish. There is passion, Yet peace. Serenity, Yet emotion. Chaos, yet order. I am the protector of balance. I am the holder of the torch, lighting the way. I am a Gray Jedi.

Bio: Not much is known about Roth Fenix’s past. The earliest memories were of him living in the Jedi Temple, the only place he could really call his own home. His past is shrouded in mystery, much like his future.
During his life of training as a Jedi, Roth was found to be one of the best and brightest students of the Academy. He followed the Code of the Jedi Order as he was told and studied the ways of the Force and the history of the Order in the holocrons of the Jedi Library. Roth was also gifted in the ways of combat, both through the Force and with a lightsaber, usually winning his sparring matches against fellow students. When the time came, a wise Jedi Master named Crevar Konn showed interest in teaching the young and taking him as his Padawan Learner. During their years of Master/Apprenticeship, Roth and Crevar grew a close relationship, almost like the bond of father and son.
Crevar and Roth went to the peaceful planet of Dantooine to finish Roth’s training. Roth trained with the advanced students in the Academy, finding his training to be much more challenging than that on Coruscant. Crevar was pleased with his Apprentice’s skill and thought he was ready to face the last stage of his training.
Roth was then sent to Yavin to meditate to find a true connection to the Force. Roth (being around the age of 16) traveled around the surface to one of the ancient temples that were scattered around the moon. Focusing his energies Roth took in the energies around the planet. However, the taint of the Dark Side was to much for Roth to handle and he soon found himself overpowered by the Dark Side. Roth emerged a new type of man, fro a caring, talented Jedi to an malevolent Dark Jedi. After not returning to the temple for a long while Crevar began to worry about his Apprentice. Using his strong connection to the Force Crevar tracked Roth down to the world of Ziost. Confronting his Apprentice a battle ensued with Crevar and Roth fighting each other in what seemed to be a battle to the death. Crevar soon became overpowered, as Roth was fueled by the strong Dark Side power of the planet. After beating down Crevar’s defenses, Roth delivered the fatal blow through the center of Crevar’s chest. The battle was over, but instead of feeling triumph or superiority, but what a true Jedi should feel, sadness and shame in taking a true friend’s life. The sadness of Roth almost overwhelmed him as he kneeled down by Crevar and did his best to save him. Losing all hope, Roth began to feel such sorrow and felt Crevar lay his hand on Roth’s head saying, “it is not my life they should be mourning for, but celebrating the return of a powerful and wise Jedi, go my Padawan, go and help shape the galaxy and restore it’s former glory.” Crevar passed away after his comforting last words. Taking Crevar’s body, Roth returned to the Jedi Temple on Dantooine, ready to face the consequences of his deeds.
The Council on Dantooine faced their former student, faces that showed little if no emotion. The trial of Roth lasted for hours, a former powerful Jedi who had been tainted at a young age. After hours of deliberation, the council called Roth into their chamber and began to decide on the fate of Roth. After even more talk the council asked Roth, “why should we take you back in, be it as it may you are young and naive, but you slay your own master in blind fury, even that is not for one such as you to do, so we ask you young Fenix, why can you join us again.” Roth felt terrible bearing the weight of these words, after much thinking Roth finally said the words that he best felt would reach the hearts of his masters, “Redemption is a gift only given to those that people see fit, one who knows he has truly seen the wrongs of his past and even then, he may not be seen worthy of such forgiveness, I have seen the wrongs I have committed and I know the consequences of my actions, but Crevar believed in me and I believe that he is right.” The council took these words to heart and finally after a whole day of deciding a pupil’s fate, accepted Roth back into their ranks as a Jedi Knight.
Roth then became a full fledged Master after resolving conflicts with both his Blade and his wit. Roth proved his worth to the Jedi Order over the years, showing all that he was in fact a truly redeemed Jedi, one who serves the Order and sacrifices all to protect the innocent.
Roth, along with Trenton Vihn led a small strike team that disabled the Death Star's primarly laser by destroying hte amplification crystals that caused the beam's power to magnify as it passed through each crystal. After the beam had been destroyed, Drake Paladin and Raeph Sunder confronted Roth and Trenton and engaged them in a duel. Roth bested Raeph, knocking him unconscious and helping Trenton best Drake Paladin only to be stopped by Jet Sumner, allowing the Sith to escape. Roth returned and was cheered as one of the many heroes of the Battle of the Death Star. After, he continued learning from Trenton Vihn and finally learned all the secrets of the Force, not seeing the Force as a river, but as a raging ocean.
Roth now works with the Jedi, but does not follow their ideals and does not trust them, nor the Sith. Roth has also taken on an Apprentice in the form of Malfurion Stormrage, a young Force User is very talented. He, like Trenton, follows his beliefs and motifs to help restore the balance in the galaxy.
