"If you are to truly understand, then you will need the contrast, not adherence to a single ideal." - Trenton Vinh
Trenton Vinh is a near-human that was born on a distant planet, in a community comprised entirely of Force-Sensitives.
His people age slower than normal humans. His people were not space-faring, and, although they did possess the technology to travel the stars, they remained reclusive on their planet. Their religion kept them on their homeworld, where they chose the Force-User with the strongest connection to The Force to be sent in a small pod to Coruscant, to be trained as Jedi, as a prophet of their species.
Trenton was chosen over his older brother, who was a teenager at the time. Trenton's brother, Vartonis, grew jealous of this, and while manipulated by a Sith Lord, was driven mad with rage. Vartonis murdered his own family and their entire species, leaving him and Trenton as the last of their kind.
Upon his arrival on Coruscant, the Jedi Order took Trenton in, and within several years he had already proven himself to be the Order's most promising student.
By the age of ten, he was stronger than most Padawans who were older than himself.
Befriending a fellow gifted Padawan, Drake Paladin, Trenton went on to be chosen by Jedi Master Jet Sumner to be trained.
This left Drake Paladin jealous, and over the years, he grew to intensely hate Trenton, which resulted in his turning to the Dark Side during the reign of the Empire.
While under Jet's tutelage, Trenton grew bored of his diplomacy-oriented Master, and would frequently get into trouble for his rash and headstrong actions.
"He still has much to learn. His immense powers have made him...arrogant. It worries me. Part of me wishes to see him become the greatest Jedi that ever lived. Another part of me fears that he will become the Galaxy's most deadly enemy..." - Jet Sumner speaking about Trenton Vinh.
During Jet's training, on a routine mission, the Corellian Corvette Trenton and Jet were traveling in was shot down, crash landing on what was soon to be discovered as Trenton's homeworld.
After putting out a distress signal, the Jedi and Trenton began searching the planet.
Finding the planet in ruin, Trenton feared the worst for his people, and filled with curiosity about finding his family, he explored the planet. Soon, Trenton discovered the existence of his older brother, and through several Force-Visions he saw while exploring the planet, he realized that his brother had been the one to wipe out his people.
When a shuttle arrived to pick Trent, Jet, and the other Jedi up to return them to Coruscant, the planet was shaken by a powerful earthquake. The ground beneath the shuttle to shift, one of its landing struts became stuck, and as the Jedi rushed to free it, Trenton's brother attacked.
Vartonis, Trenton's elder brother, was insane, and had been training the children of his village to be his Sith underlings.
With his small army, they began to assault the Jedi, nearly killing Jet and injuring several others.
Trenton and his brother engaged in a duel, and Trent became one with The Force for the first time, his power radiating throughout the Force. The Jedi and Sith nearby were all stunned by the spectacle, and the immense Force Energy caused the ground quakes to grow exponentially.
Blocked off from the Jedi Shuttle by the attacking Sith and Vartonis, Trenton realized he would not be able to make it to escape.
In an incredible act of Force Power, he lifted the shuttle enough to free it, and simultaneously harnessed the power of the earthquake to split the ground beneath his own feet, and beneath the feet of the Sith around him.
Alongside his brother, Trenton disappeared into the hole in the ground, leaving the Jedi to believe him dead.
Trenton, having become one with The Force, had in fact survived in a purgatory-like state, fully immersed in The Force.
Months later, he was freed by the Jedi, among them Jet Sumner, who was the first to realize how much Trenton had changed since his near-death experience.
When The Empire rose, Trenton and several others retreated to hide on Yavin Four, where they would discreetly search for the missing Jedi Council.
After becoming a Jedi Knight, Trenton left the Jedi Order, becoming a pupil to a mysterious Force-User who referred to himself as "The Forgotten One".
"Is it what the teacher teaches or what the student learns?" - Forgotten One, cryptically training Trenton.
Forgotten trained Trenton to view The Force in an unorthodox way. Rejecting the teachings of both the Jedi and the Sith, Forgotten explained that The Force was One.
Trenton began to wield The Force in a much more arcane way, and was seen by Jedi to use techniques such as Force Lightning, and Force Choke.
While the Rebellion rose, Trenton was part of some of its numerous campaigns, but his heroism came at a cost; Forgotten One's death.
The Rebellion had a crucial meeting on an old mining asteroid, but it turned out to be a trap, and the Empire struck. While outnumbered and wounded, Trenton fought valiantly, but knew he would not be able to last much longer.
In a nearby ship, Forgotten One sensed the peril Trenton was in, and flew an A-Wing to his aid. Unable to land, Forgotten accelerated his A-Wing into the mining facility itself, causing a deadly explosive decompression that wiped out most of the Imperial Forces.
Trenton, floating in vacuum, having survived by using a Force Bubble to sustain himself, was visited by the Force Ghost of Forgotten, who explained to him what he had done.
Incredibly saddened by his Master's death, Trent became stoic, dark, and cold.
"That guy, scares me." - Aeolan Kicka, reflecting on Trenton's ferocity in combat.
Despite being ostracized by the Jedi, Trenton soon found friendship in a fellow rogue Jedi, Roth Fenix.
Together, they embarked on a mission to find the location of the old Jedi Council, who were rumored to be in hiding.
After discovering the Jedi, and returning them to the meeting place of the Rebellion, Trenton realized the only was to defeat the Empire was to destroy the Emperor himself.
Leaving the Rebellion and the Jedi who wished to condemn him, Trenton joined the Empire, quickly rising through its ranks due to his Force Ability and natural skills. His power gained the attention of the Emperor, who took him under his wing to train him personally.
Claiming to be only impersonating a Sith, Trenton severed his ties with The Rebellion fully as they began to question his true loyalties.
The Jedi, fearful of Trenton's powers, began to plan to destroy him if forced to. But their fears would not be realized for several years.
At the height of the Galactic Civil War, during a Rebel attack to retake Coruscant, Trenton engaged in a duel with the Emperor, defeating him mercilessly. Returning to the Rebellion as a hero, Trenton began numerous campaigns, freeing the Galaxy from Imperial clutches planet by planet.
During these campaigns, Trenton was attacked repeatedly by Drake Paladin, his old friend from his days in the Jedi Temple. Having fully embraced the Sith, Drake made numerous attempts to destroy Trenton and prove himself as the stronger of the two.
Jet Sumner witnessed Trenton tear open Drake's skin with The Force, and barely managed to stop Trenton from slaughtering his old friend.
Vowing he would kill Trenton if he ever saw him do something 'Sith-like' again, Jet refused to speak to Trenton, the rift between them growing larger.
Unbeknownst to Trenton, his duel with Drake led to an epiphany on the latter's part. Being defeated by his old friend changed Drake considerably, an event that would make their next meeting much different.
"It all depends on your definition of good, doesn't it?" - Trenton Vinh, during his trial.
In the Council's eyes, Trenton was walking on thin ice. They believed him to have fallen to the Dark Side, and worried he was consorting to overthrow the Jedi.
When the Yuuzhan Vong attacked, Trenton was one of the first on scene. Defending a large group of civilians from a group of Yuuzhan Vong Warriors, he found himself injured and poisoned by one of the mysterious invaders weapons.
Laying on a heap against a pillar, a mysterious Force-User who called herself Malaia came to his aid. Commanding The Force in a way few could, the enigmatic woman saved Trenton. Rushing off to help Naboo from the Yuuzhan Vong, he forgot all about the beautiful woman.
After a promising student from the Temple was kidnapped, Trenton announced his intentions to find the boy. Hoping he would slip up, the Council sent Jet Sumner and his Padawan Tiverian Joreth, along with Jedi Master Reyne Sunder, to keep an eye on Trenton, and detain him if he did anything suspicious.
While in a deep mine on Kessel, Trenton and the others were split up. Led by a mysterious voice whispering to him through The Force, Trent found Drake Paladin awaiting him in a small chamber.
Drake, claiming to be 'more than a Jedi or a Sith', explained to Trenton that he was destined to rid the Galaxy of Jedi and Sith, to put an end to the millenia-long conflict between them, and create a more peaceful Galaxy.
Before Drake could give Trenton details, Jet Sumner burst into the room, causing Drake to flee.
Angered by this, Trenton and Jet had a fierce argument, culminating in Jet igniting his lightsaber and threatening Trenton.
Reacting in fury, Trent used The Force to pin Jet against the cave wall, then impaled his former Master with his lightsaber.
"What have I created?" - Jet Sumner, before his death at the hands of Trenton Vinh.
When he returned to the Jedi Temple, Trent reported that Jet had been slain by a Sith Lord. Tiverian, Jet's former Apprentice, didn't believe it, and went to find out the truth.
With Jet's Holocron aiding him, Tiverian returned to the spot his Mentor had been murdered.
Learning the powerful ability of Flow-Walking, Tiverian and Jet's Holocron's Gatekeeper viewed the events culminating in Jet's death.
Returning to the Jedi with the Holocron's recording of Trent murdering Jet, Tiv presented it to the Council.
Having the proof they needed to prosecute Trenton, the council immediately moved to arrest him.
A group of Jedi blocked Trenton from entering the Jedi Temple, and a trio of Military Gunships surrounded Trenton, forcing him to comply to their demands.
Accepting that he had been caught, Trenton allowed himself to be stripped of his weapons and taken to a detainment facility, where he awaited his trial.
After pleading guilty to all charges, his bail was set to 25'000 credits.
Malaia, the mysterious woman who had saved Trenton before, came to his aid once again, paying his bail and giving him a place to stay during the trial.
"There's only one reason I would do all the things I have done: For the good of the Galaxy.
Trenton's power is immense. He has mastery of numerous Force Powers, ranging from simple levitation of objects to the deadly Spear of Midnight Black.
His use of The Force varies depending on the situation. He is seen using both 'Dark Side' and 'Light Side' powers. While he does not believe in any sides of the Force, he uses the terms to help simplify.
Trenton uses his emotions to aid him, to fuel him.
Trenton is also an incredibly deadly warrior. Few can compare to him in lightsaber combat, and he is also a skilled marksman.
A capable starfighter pilot and tactician, Trenton has fought in battles in roles varying from strategy and Fleet Tactics, to simple one-man fighter dogfights.
"Some things you can't control. If you fear them, than those things control you." -
Intimidating, dark, and dangerous, Trenton is not often one to make jokes.
People see him with mixed reactions. Some claim he is a misunderstood hero, to be praised as a champion. Others believe him a loose cannon that should be put away forever, or killed.
Trenton's future is uncertain. On trial, he is at risk of being put to death.
Some believe he is just waiting for a moment to escape, others believe he has finally accepted the terrible things he has done, and that he is prepared to pay his dues.
One thing is certain: Trenton Vinh is one of the most decorated, experienced, knowledgeable, and powerful Force-Users to have ever lived.
Jedi.
Sith.
Savior.
Murderer.
Destined to save the Galaxy? Or destined to destroy it?

More recently, Trenton has disappeared from the face of the galaxy. Many believe him to be dead, more have forgotten all about him. Nothing is known about is current whereabouts.
