"I was such a weak child. I always tried too hard to prove myself, always making myself look more foolish with each attempt. But since then, I have realized that one shows his strength through subtlety. A game of Dejarik is not about showing off one's strength, but stealthily outsmarting their opponent. True power conceals itself in the shadows, while the weak walk in the open. They hide their fears by acting fearless."

Biography:
Drake Paladin was orphaned at the age of 4. He was just old enough to realize what he was seeing when he watched his parents murder from under his bed. He was sent to the Jedi Temple to be trained when a Coruscanti Police Officer realized the boy was different. Drake flourished there, and soon became a promising student. However, he was always tainted by Darkness, as a permanent mark of what happened to his parents.
Drake longed for the attention of the Jedi Masters, but found his potent abilities constantly overshadowed by the presence of Trenton Vinh. Drake was friends with Trenton, but as time went on, he became intensely jealous of him.
When the Jedi Order fell to the Empire, Drake seized his opportunity to take revenge, and take the power he had always longed to have.
He has since attempted to kill Trenton several times.
Drake eventually discovered a hidden grove, a cesspool of untapped Force energy in the ruins of the Jedi Temple on Ossus. His power grew immensely, and he is now a severe threat to Trenton.
Recently, Drake took on an Apprentice, ex-Jedi Raeph Sunder.
After the fall of the Galactic Empire, they retreated into hiding to create the Brotherhood of Darkness, a sect of Sith and Dark Jedi with aspirations to wipe out the Jedi.
Over the years, Drake received training from many Force Users. Some Jedi, some Sith, some not quite able to be labeled.
Drake has come to the conclusion that there is a certain balance in the Galaxy as well as in The Force, and the balance must be kept, lest the Galaxy plunge into perpetual war and eventual destruction.
Drake is far from a typical Sith. He cares little for selfishness and self-preservation, and is fully ready and willing to die when his time comes.
Despite his affiliations with the Empire and the Brotherhood of Darkness, Drake does not consider himself a Sith, but a Force User who chooses to follow another path than the Jedi. Due to common misconceptions, he is treated as a Sith, but he does not follow their doctrines either, for he believes them to be as dogmatic as the Jedi.
Drake studied Galactic History, and realized that Force Users have been the reason for most Galactic Wars, and also the reason Galactic Wars were ended. He believes the Force Users are a cause of war and should be contained, or wiped out.
Drake was detained by Trenton Vinh, and has been a captive on a Prison Ship ever since, locked deep within a containment cell, under a stasis and sensory-deprivation device. He is monitored at all times, because everyone knows it is impossible to hold a Force-User against their will...
Upon breaking free of his prison, Drake returned to his asteroid base in The Maw cluster, and took his throne as Dark Lord of The Sith. Proclaiming himself as the greatest Sith Lord alive, he took the title Darth Erebus, casting aside his past and creating a new destiny for himself.
