Malaia is the daughter of Jedi Master Arrya Saffyre and the famous Echani General Yusaris; the product of a secret love affair between the two. As a result, this half Echani maiden, was born force-sensitive. In addition, she had inherited the ability to create a barrier in her mind, to deflect any force-based powers. During her childhood, Malaia studied the martial arts skills of her father's native people. She had eventually accepted proper Jedi training, after fighting along side a Jedi Knight during the Clone Wars. Putting her combat knowledge to good use, she joined the Empire. She served as an Emperor's Hand; her job was to hunt down and kill the remaining Jedi.
Her last known target, was Trenton Vinh. Lurking cautiously, aware of the danger of her mission, she followed in Trenton's shadows. She kept a watchful eye for months, following him, watching his behavior and studying his every move, she came to realize that she had gained an appreciation for Trent's misunderstood ways. Her heart ached as she became torn between her service to the Emperor and her desire for Trenton. Unable to bring herself to subdue her latest target, Malaia decided to resign from hunting with the fall of the Empire. In the mean time she used her superior knowledge of martial arts and the movement of her body and took up the art form of exotic dancing and entertainment.
