Coruscant: The Signs of a Traitor

It has been about a whole month since the assasination attempt on Garm Rahl by what it appears as a bounty hunter and one who is known for his bravery or so they think right now that is where the investigation is leading towards Ghev Dralin but why would he choose to destroy all that he has given his blood his tears of making the new republic what it is today or is their some other reason in this trechorey and distrust is their someone else behind this and if it isnt Ghev then who could it be and why all question will be answered as the investigation is in its final few weeks and hours and possibly minutes to get to the bottom of this.

----Republic Senate----

Tork stands amongest alot of deligations which spread throughout the rounda as he has seen the investigation go throughits paces but most of the signs are pointed directly at his friend someone he can go to for advice someone who is a benificary of the New Republic someone he would trust with his life but what does he say to the Senate which wants to know what the investigation has braught up it is up to him to say this not anyone else but this investigation is far from over and if he makes a mistake then he loses a friend and possibly an allie

Tork takes himself from his chair to the microphone he has to tell these many deligations need and or want to know about what is happening internally as he bring shismelf to speak to the senate rounda he looks at his vice chair at Marcus and then brings his lips to the microphone

'my fellow deligations it is with great sadness that i must bring this information to you as the investigation of who tried to kill garm rahl continues their is one possible bit of proof however small it is but one sign points the finger at Ghev Dralin'

as he says the name of someone who is feared and is also respected and honored the rounda blows up in a heat of anger he then hears all sides as the squable for the right to say something to him to ask him why he is allowed to roam freely throughtout the galaxy why he hasnt been arrested and charged as it is only a small bit of proof he brings himself to speak outwards torwards everyone so that everyone can see him speak as Ghev is not here to speak for himself

'with this investigation still going on i will do all that i can i will ahve my two repersenatives of this rounda and of the senate look into this matter better and deeper to find out who is the real traitor'

'but since i see an hear your words and voices of anger let me assure you that we will have Ghev Dralin not so much in custody but we will sepak to him about this situation to get his thoughts on this matter to end this once and for all'

'when that is done and if the investigation takes another turn then i will as your chancellor,...will come here and give out what i have learned so far,if their isnt anything else i call that this session of the senate closed for the day'

Tork then removes hismelf from the chair as the senate is closed for the day he wonders and ponders what has happened he wonders if his two young repersenatives will be able to sifts throughout the lies to find the true traitor and he also wants to see how garm is doing after the attempt on his life.

----Chancellors Office----

Tork while now in his office the meeting with the senate is over he can now turn his attention towardsthis investigation to all sides that really for the moment turn and point directly at Ghev Dralin his friend and an honored member of this New Republic as he sits in his chair he then grabs a comlink and sends a personal message to Trenton Vinh and Roth Fenix

'Trenton this is Tork i have to speak to both you and roth about this investigation as a whole i would like for you both to come within the next few hours or days when u have a free moment to come so that we can discuss this and i can then ask from you what i would like to see happen'

with the message sent the only other thing that he could do now is wait for the investigation to take a turn for the worse as he recieves a message from Jinta Jidan that he has begun to make plan for a new government for Nar Shaddaa but that is the least of his worries he sets that news aside.

much has happened since the attempt on Garm Rahl failed Jonous has worked long and hard for several months figuring out on exactly who was behind the cowardly act but only one name and with vialable finger prints have been found and they belong to Ghev Dralin he just doesnt want to do this but he has no other choice he must get into contact with Ghev to have him braught back from where ever he is and to answer some really important questions about where he was at the time of the attempted murder of Garm Rahl if Ghev answers truthfully as most bounty hunters cant then he will have no choice but to arrest a man who is well respected and honored on courscant and he simply cant do that without just cause.

he takes a full message comlink and looks at what he must do first he must send a message which is what he doesnt want to do but he has too

"Attention Ghev Dralin by order of the Republic and the Senate"

"i hearby need you to report to my office within the day"

"as the investigation is still proceeding"

"but i need to speak to you as it is an urgent matter"

"please you must contact me"

Jonous then looks at what has happened what he has just sent out he hopes ghev gets back to him he hopes he will tell him the truth maybe if he does maybe he will believe him as all the fact tell a different story.

[Ghev Dralin]

A cloaked figure watched the proceedings in the Senate, troubled by what was happening.
The apprentice of Master Orion Jall, Seth Garside had been tasked to stay behind on Coruscant and keep an eye on the Senate; these were precarious times, and with many Jedi now on Naboo fending off the Yuuzhan Vong, tension was sure to mount.

Seth slipped away as the proceedings came to a close, raising the hood of his Jedi robes. The news was troubling... Ghev Dralin and, by extension, the Mandalorians, were being implied in this assassination attempt. True, all the evidence pointed to Dralin, but it was purely circumstantial.
And the Mandalorians were working closely with the New Republic, and had been ever since the days of the Empire, minus the brief hiatus in between wars.
Seth wondered if perhaps a Mandalorian extremist had decided the Senate was pushing their luck too far. Reports said that the assassination attempt occurred just after Garm Rahl suggested using the Mandalorians as the Republic's personal army. Seth suppressed a smirk, imagining that wouldn't go down well with Ghev.

He walked into Jonous's office, just as the man finished sending a message to Ghev.
"With respect, Ghev Dralin is currently on Naboo, fighting the Yuuzhan Vong threat" he explained, not introducing himself; he was here as an impartial voice of reason, not an official, though he didn't doubt that a 15 year old in the Senate building would merit many questions.
"My master is with him, perhaps the matter could be put on hold until after the immediate crisis?" Seth suggested. "Afterall, the safety of Naboo's population is paramount in comparison to a failed attempt on one Senator's life..."

Jonous notices a teenager barely an adult entering his office withint he Republic Senate he sees markings on his arms that of what appears to be the same markings that Ghev Dralin has on his shoulders the last time he saw him in this area a few years earlier then they were all on good speaking terms but at the same point he wonders then the teenager speaks to him as he sits in his chair and listens to this teenager through the entire small speech he does realize that of course the war that is currently happening on Naboo is the most important one and he nods ever so slightly then once the teenager stops talking he thinks few a short moment

"well what you say does make alot of sense of course the prelude to a major war which could have very different outcomes to it on Naboo is more important"

"but i will tell you what i will do i will hold this off,for now as you are right it is only one senator"

"but in sayin that what can we do about it as your master is with Ghev"

"do you want to look at the scene of the crime it is still under lockdown"

"and we did find someclothing that we still havent been able to pinpoint the dna to who actually took the shot at not only Senator,but also Ambassador Garm Rahl"

he leans back in his chair as he starely coldly into this young teenagers eyes to stare at him to check out if he is concerned at all about what has happened within the first few months then he waits for the kids reaction.

Seth considered the possibilities... the Jedi Order probably wouldn't approve of him single-handedly investigating the case, but then, Master Jall had always instilled upon him a certain disregard for permission.
"I'll look into the matter, though I won't be informing the Jedi council" he sighed. "My mandate here was to prevent full-scale uproar and protect the Senate from further assassination attempts, but I feel this could get out of hand if some answers aren't discovered".

He moved across the office and sat, without asking permission, his lightsaber clattering against the metal rim of the chair.
"I may need to bring others into this, though... I'm only a Padawan, but I'll try my best" he admitted, brushing his messy hair out of his face.
"May I see the evidence you've gathered?"

Jonous sees in this teenager what he saw in himself when he was a meer padawan but he is beyond that point now he is a lone security officer and a rather old Jedi Master he leans over to the side of his desk and pulls out the current evidence they have recently gathered some of it is taken from people who witnessed the assisnation attempt on garm rahl their is other data within
the panflet and folder which contains sequencing of dna results and also the cd disks that contain the security camera's of the entire incident that happened nearly a month ago

Also within the folder that he passes across his desk toward the young padawan he knows he will have his hands full and he knows giving this incompleted infomation to the Jedi council wouldnt be proper then he grabs the side of his desk his own lightsaber and then places it on his belt to the side to show this young padwan that he was like him a Jedi with a purpose with some meaning he listens to him to his reply and all he can do for the few moments is nod his head back to him

Of course he is right takin most of this information wouldnt really be proper but he wonders if this teenager could handle this type of assignment on his own and what of more that he brings maybe he should not only his current role as security supervisor to the Senate maybe he should go back to his old ways become a Jedi for this matter and help out this teenager for as long as he needs him,..but not as a master figure more maybe for advice as he is well versed int his thing that was the main reason he took on this role this job to provide security to those who need it

"if you need my help then simply ask as i was once like you studying to be a Jedi,...but that role is past me now i still however look to my past and think it wasnt all that bad i did end my career as a Master"

Jonous then stands up from his chair and heads to the balcony their he looks out at the afternoon sun of Courscant and then back to the young teenager within his room his office awaiting on the kids name once he has his name he will allow this padawan to use his knowledge for getting to the truth his next assignment now is to tell the Chancellor what he has found.

[Ghev Dralin]

Seth took the folder, and rifled through the contents, seeing what had been gathered so far; there was enough to be going on with. Discs that undoubtedly contained security footage, flimsiplat containing photographs of the scene, a note supposedly from the Mandalorians...
"My name is Sethius Garside" he said, looking the other man in the eye. "I prefer Seth" he added.

He looked at the note in the folder, bearing the mythosaur skull of the Mandalorians, and the words 'We're not your pets!'. He raised an eyebrow; if this HAD come from Ghev, there was something incredibly indiscreet about it. Then again, the Mandalorians didn't have reason to be discreet...
"Sir, are you aware of the recent split in the Mandalorian forces? One faction has stayed with Ghev, the other went off with a man called Tracyn" he said, closing the folder. "It's possible that this attack came from Tracyn, as a means of causing distrust against Ghev" he theorised, thinking it through.
"But either way, we have to prove it, otherwise the Senate and, eventually, the population of Coruscant will want someone to answer for the crime, and we'll have a witch-hunt on our hands".

He stood, tucking the folder into his indigo and grey robes, then bowed to the former Jedi Master.
"I'm going to analyse the security footage. I'll report back when I think I've uncovered anything".

"i am quite aware of the break up but Tracyn to all of my knowledge hasnt been on Courscant for at least twelve years,but perhaps he could be the one who started this all but we are still going to need a point why"

"why would he do this is it because he doesnt much like the popularity of Mandalore as a respected force who helped the Rebellion destroy the Empire a decade ago or more"

Jonous looks at the young Jedi and nods his head then crosses his arms for only a moment then sits back down in his chair and looks through other folders containing other news that he really needs to look at as he listens to one further comment from Seth as he leaves his office then he tilts up his head for only a moment as his eyes are looking at something more important

"well whenever you find out something my door is always open"

[Garm Rahl]

Its been over a month since he was almost killed by a single shot that rang from the side of the senate and now that he is fully healed Garm looks into who could have done it he wants to get into this situation more internally if Jonous Riker allows him to as he is one obstacle as their are many more not just him their is the Supreme Chancellor Tork Winger and then their are his duties as the senator of Naboo with the war that is presently going on,on his planet and with Ghev and other fellow members of the Jedi Council lending their support in the fight against the Yuuzhan Vong he has alot on his plate not to mention he has just been recently promoted as the ambassador of Naboo and with all that is happening he really wants to find out who had the gull enough to try to kill him all because he wanted the Mandalorians to be the leaders of the new Army for the Republic to train their officers in the same sort of styles that makes every mandalore feared that is all he wanted and that is what he gets i attempt on his life.

And for the moment it all seems like Ghev Dralin is behind the attempt but why Ghev he was always considered a friend towards him and then perhaps this attempt was not caused to placed by ghev and it could be from Tracyn who was always iching for a fight with the Republic he didnt share the loyalties of what Ghev was tryin to do either way he really badly wants to get this person under his eye so he can show them the real torture they are about to recieve.

He also wants to see what Jonous knows for this purpose he will at somepoint in the day or possibly the next day he will set up a time to meet his friend Jonous Riker to find out all the information he knows as well as not only from Jonous from him but from the Chancellor as well he really wants to find out who was this and what he is truely up against.

Garm stands in his room as he begins to lay down he hasnt taken a chair at the senate in over a month most of what he gets is text data from some other sources of what has been happening int he Senate including the new formation of a Government on Nar Shaddaa composed by Jinta Jidan and a few Jedi with him that is great news as a government was created on a planet much like Mandalore built on distrust that is something he will have to confur on with the chancellor when this investigation that happened to him is over.

The most important thing Marcus has been doing since the attempt on Garm Rahl had happened was giving it to other persons who were more qualified in doing so that part of the job was done the other part was to build up security to a new high to not let the same thing happen again that is why he was able to place scanning devices nears the entrances of every single door that leads into the Senate rounda to make sure that everyone who come sin their has the new up to date passports as well as biological scans to show that they are who they say they are including a retinal scan as this has to have more security then what they had a month prior to the attempted murder of the Reginal Governor of Naboo and Ambassador of that entire system.

That was what has gone on since he took office as the viceroy of Supreme Chancellor Tork Winger the other thing he has been taking care of is setting up two new offices for the Chancellors two Jedi Repersenatives Trenton Vinh and Roth Fenix making sure that with their approval the new security systems were and or have been approved by them as well.

With the offices set up and with the new hallways ajoined to the Chancellors own office and with security cameras also set up the Repersenatives will see everything and everyone that the Chancellor speaks with one thing they dont want is another assisnation attempt to happen again luckly it was just a senator had it been the Chancellor their would be sure chaos throughout the galaxy.

Marcus removes himself from the senate conference an hour early he has been takin in all that he has wanted to here from the newer deligation from Nar Shaddaa a deligation that has only been erected or perhaps created on only forty-eights hours but this deligation is here so he has heard their explaniation from what they need well what Jinta needs for them to have a stable and secure government that is what he will try to pass all of this to the senate he has alot on his plate.

As he leaves the conference room to head up to the senate rounda he is approached by Jonous riker who gives him a new update on his situation with finding who took a shot at Garm Rahl he tells Marcus that he has given all of his knowledge to a young Jedi knight who will take the investigation even further he suggests to Marcus that by allowing this young Jedi to look things over maybe he can find out who is actually behind it and not to place the total blame on Ghev Dralin who is currently tryin to stop the Yuuzhan Vong from ceasing Naboo a strong step hold or grip on a very well known stronghold for the people.

`i dont want this to go directly to the Coucnil until we find out who the person exactly was`

Marcus nods and then leaves and walks down the hallway he is their and met by the victim who is quite healed in Garm Rahl garm simply asks him who he has and who is behind the attempt on his life Marcus stops from his walking and stares at a great man a strong leader a former admirial with the Rebel Alliance and a true friend he crosses his arms and then looks at his friend he has come to know and respect.

`I only know what the facts are tellin me but i cant devulge that information to you garm`

`i dont know what i would get out of it until the Chancellor has seen it`

`,so your just gonna have to wait,...but i am late for a meeting so if you will excuse me`

He didnt want to shove off Garm like that but he has more important things to take care of like the business within the senate the rounda to make a new propertition for a new and better army that is solely lead by Mandalores an army who is trained by those who give it their all to track down bounties for anyone who has the right price and an army who has their own free will of say he must speak to Tracyn to get his thoughts on the situation perhaps they can simply find the big picture on what Tracyn is seeking and what he is seeking.

After having Seth the young Jedi in his office he walks out of his room and heads out the door and is quickly met by Marcus Saz-en and he explain what he hasbeen doing at least the viceroy understnads him and they have a conversation a short one as he knows he has alot on his plate more then he has on his but he thought he would give him an update on what is going on.

"well yes i will still keep you informed and i wont let you be late so talkt o you later Sir"

he watches him leave and then walks into another office that is near his he wants to check up on the situation on Naboo to see who is winning the fight their and who needsmore reinforcements and supplies of that nature.

as luck would have it he found the viceroy Marcus Sazen walking down the hallway he stops him and quickly asks him one question as he crosses his arms and stares at this man with hatred in his eyes

'i want to know what you have found out i need to know this i want to know all that you have found out'

he doesnt get much out of the viceroy only that he knows something but he doesnt tell him and then as fast as they chatted its over and he leaves him in the hallway well someone has to know what the hell is going on perhaps he can speak to Jonous Riker or maybe the Chancellor himself he wants to find out who had the gull to try to kill him

Since the investigation has taken more then he ever thought it would take a normal investigation to go to see who exactly tried to kill Garm Rahl it has come to the simple conclusion that it wasnt Ghev Dralin a man that well respected couldnt have done this sort of thing he turns his attention to Tracyn as he is the most likely source of who was behind the assassination attempt and he will take this knowledge to the Chancellor as he also continues to wait for a new report from Jonous and the other new report from the young jedi knight who was doing his own investigation.

Marcus has been tryin to get Garm off his back and when he has finally done so he keeps on giving him messages to find out what or who is pissed at him he walks past the several room within the Senate rounda and finally into the Chancellors Chamber their he sees Jonous sitting in a chair who then passes him the report that Marcus was waiting for and then leaves the room without sayin a word that was perplexing but he continues on through the short hallway until he reaches the office their he notices the chancellor is not yet present so he decides to place the new updates and reports on his desk and then decides to take a rest so he sits in a chair which is across from the Chancellors desk waiting for his arrival.

As he waits int he office in a chair for the Chancellor who has been pretty busy he sees a new datapad with the new results of what Jinta Jidan has been doing he takes it with his right hand and begins to read it even though theiy are presently trying to find who the traitor is it is always good to see that Jinta is making a difference as he continues to read on he notices that Jonous comes back and sits down right beside him as he places the datapad down back on the desk he turns to the former Jedi Master turned Security offical for the Republci detail and looks at him.

'well i think my contacts have found out something new about this case i think i have found out whow as behind this assination attempt is and has been Tracyn the whole time it was a set up to make Ghev look bad to weaken his confidence in the senate and the republic'

'this documentation tells me that Tracyn was the one who shot Garm who was behind this whole situation to lead us on this messy investigation'

'I dont know why it took me this long as a viceroy to see it so much more clearly only Tracyn would feel like a slave if the meaning of what Garm was trying to say to have the Mandalores lead a new army not to be lead like slaves'

He passes off the documents to Jonous so that he can read it as he waits for the Chancellor to arrive he wonders what could be taken him this long to return from the senate rounda and he wonders if their is something else kepping him.

Tork finally makes it to his chambers and is suprised to have not only his viceroy in his office but Jonous riker as well which seems a bit odd but he walks around then as he is wearing a new style of robes and tunic the color is not what he is used to as they are tan in color he is used to wearing a dark red or black for such days like today he has recieved alot from the new senate such as Jinta's creation of a new formed government on Nar Shaddaa that is what the people of the senate are presently speaking of not what these two men are probably in his room his office for as he sits down in his chair he picks up the two reports and then skims through them both until he notices that it is not Ghev Dralins name as the accused but Tracyn he places the reports on his desk and looks to both his Voceroy as well as Jonous Riker

'if this is what it says on here is correct then with my authority and of the senate this investigation is closed have the nessacary time to get Tracyn into custody'

'but that probably isnt the only reason you both are here within my chambers so out with it what else is on your mind'

he awaits for them both to speak their minds to him he hopes they make it fast as he has some other things he needs to get finished as he needs to meet with the Jedi Council to figure out where he is on the Naboo situation as the Yuuzhan Vong have presently assembled alot of troops on Naboo as war is about to hit Coruscant again.

'well chancellor if you dont know already but Tracyn is a leader of a different Mandalorian group which is not in league with Ghev Dralin'

'if we were to arrest Tracyn their would be a civil war without end between us and Mandalore which we would lose'

'i suggest that you should invoke emergency powers to the Jedi allow them to pick up Tracyn'

'Jonous could go as a repersenative of the new security detail and we together could sway the Senate into thinking that this lil action will bring peace to other Senators and Governors within
the galaxy'
