The Brotherhood of Darkness is the Dark Jedi Order that fights against the New Jedi Order and the New Republic. Having forsaken the Rule of Two established by the ancient Sith, the Brotherhood has adopted a new rule, the Rule of One. Under the Rule of One, the followers of the Dark Side were taught blind obedience and absolute loyalty to the Dark Lord of the Sith, instead of the plotting and infighting of previous Sith organizations. Similarly to the Jedi Order, Sith Masters trained a single apprentice. However, after their training was completed, apprentices were required to slay their Masters as a test of their allegiance to the Dark Lord, just like in the past Sith Order acolytes were required to kill someone to whom they were attached or close to seal their transition to the dark side. Masters who deemed their apprentices ready would allow themselves to be killed, as long as it was on the Dark Lord's orders.

The new Sith also mirror the Jedi in that, while they do rely on passion, hatred and aggression, they do not seek power for themselves alone, but to serve the will of the Dark Lord and impose his order on the galaxy by any means necessary. Instead of reducing the number of Sith to avoid the Order from destroying itself, it altered the Sith philosophy. The Rule claimed that it gave the Dark Jedi's power purpose. With the numbers as great as they were before the previous Rule's establishment, it allowed the Sith to match up in numbers with the Jedi.

The Brotherhood of Darkness has been working in the Shadows, hiding their numbers, and ready to strike the Jedi when the chance is presented to them. Their numbers have grown over the years and are ready to wage a new war against the Jedi and the Republic...

Sith Council

The ruling body of the Brotherhood of Darkness, the Sith Council was made up of numerous Sith Lords with a singular head. Unlike previous Sith Councils, all of the members held the title of Dark Lord of the Sith.

Sith Lords

Sith Lords were directly under the Sith Council in the chain of command. They were tasked with leading the armies and fighting the Jedi. Sith Lords were Force-sensitives who had shown the greatest potential and had therefore been sent to continue their own study and to train at the Sith Academy on Anoth. They were considered by Carnifex to be the greatest asset of the Brotherhood in its war against the Jedi.

Sith Adepts and Acolytes were Force-sensitive apprentices who had only just started down the dark path.

Sith Assassins and Spies

Sith Assassins and spies were Force-sensitives whose primary purpose was to gather information on Galactic Affairs and The Jedi Order. They were trained in assassination and stealth tactics, and were taught to conceal themselves in the Force from all others except for the Sith Lords.

I'm creating a new Dark Jedi/Sith character (most likely to be Sith), called Darth Nefari (though she'll be going by the title 'Lady' more often than Darth).

I was wondering if she could be on the Brotherhood council, working beneath Lord Carnifex?
